I find the details to be extremely important in the documenting of the wedding day. Couples put a great deal of thought into all aspects of the wedding day, including the smallest details. So it seems only appropriate to include them in my images.
Shooting portraits is an essential part of the wedding. As a photojournalist, I love the natural moments that come without posing but I do love shooting portraits because of the beautiful images that come out of them. While posed, portraits can still give an insight to the bride, groom, and bridal parties personalities.
These are the natural moments that I love to capture. They are real. They are emotional. They are funny. I love it when the bride cries when she walks down the aisle. I love it when the groomsmen act crazy. People being who they are and my ability to catch those moments is what makes what I do so truly enjoyable and rewarding.
The title says it all. Let's face it. Weddings are a party. The music. The food. The dancing. It's a celebration and I have such a great time watching people enjoy themselves. I love to watch people dance (or attempt to). Some of my favorite images are when people are just having fun.
